I have wanted a Mid-Century Modern wall unit for the past several years but there simply wasn't enough room at The Apex. With the move to The Atomic Ranch I suddenly had the wall and floor space for a modest wall unit. With the help of a friend I was able to bring one home. With my brother-in-law's help I was able to get it installed. This is either 60's engineering at its best (which would be sad) or its worst (which is probably the reality). Either way, the installation was harder and far less elegant than I had hoped. The installation required more than a dozen toggle bolts, four shelf brackets, a handful/footfull of bruises, and the use of each and every swear word I know. I also ended up having a flat tire running back and forth to the home improvements store. In spite of all the challenges, my highly desired Mid-Century Modern wall unit it is installed.
My favorite part of the wall unit is the angled media shelf. A book signed by the author currently rests on the media shelf.
